*Rexville Grocery* [2] is a friendly place to stop during a day trip
north of Seattle to the Skagit Valley. They make a great espresso and
there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy it. Oh,
and you can pick up wine, cheese, and a fresh baguette and get gas,
too (but read the sign on the pump carefully). This is very near the
winding *Skagit River* [3] in the heart of the farmlands of Mount
Vernon. Bicycle touring is popular in the area, and you can see some
riders are stopping for a fresh deli lunch.
